For loads of great information:
Using a rain barrel is the most economical way to harvest rain water!
What is a Rain Barrel?
A Rain Barrel is simply a container used to store rainwater. A rain barrel usually sits under your home’s downspout, harvesting rainwater for future use in your garden. RainBud rain barrels are made from food-grade polyethelene barrels, recycled from local sources. Unlike many other commercial rain barrels, no new plastic has been created in the manufacturing of our barrels.
How do I use my RainBud rain barrel?
Rain Barrels are a gravity-fed system. The higher the barrel is off the ground, the stronger the water pressure. It can be connected to a garden hose, soaker hose or used to fill a watering can. As the water has drained from your roof, it is NOT potable and cannot be used for drinking.
